In a word no. Many traditional Japanese dishes are served hot and thus, so are most of our starters and all of our main meals. In fact the teppanyaki grills at Moonsha offer the hottest meal in Derby, cooking at temperatures in excess of 400 degrees centigrade!

Q: What is teppanyaki?

Teppanyaki is a style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food. The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan, which means iron plate, and yaki, which means grilled, boiled or pan-fried.

MoonSha can provide everything from a celebratory feast to a quick snack, and also has a function hall at a capacity for over 250 guests for private parties, business lunches or special events. VIP rooms can be provided for special occasions, parties, or karaoke. MoonSha is also available for full venue hire with an overall capacity of 500.
